Financial Benefit Integrity Analyst-Auditor (Chicago,
IL)
IntegriGuard has a new
opportunity for Auditors to prepare and complete
audits in accordance with Medicare regulations and GAAP. The successful individual will
examine and analyze
accounting records, including cost reports, financial statements, and working
trial balances to determine financial status; prepare workpapers concerning
scope of audit, financial conditions, and source and application of funds; and
review cost report appeals to determine best procedure for handling.
Experience/Education/Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a
related field required, including a minimum of 24 hours of accounting
coursework. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in
Medi/Medi or Medicaid cost report audit and reimbursement functions.
- Knowledge of Medicaid statutes, regulations, policies, claim processing, servicing, audit
and reimbursement principles and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills, including public speaking and human relations, and ability to produce
work free from typographical or spelling errors.
- Background in same or similar arena as
Auditor work.
- Shows longevity in employment with one or
more past employers.
- Not currently sanctioned or excluded from
the Medicare program by the OIG.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office,
Internet, and e-mail.
